Most of these photos are from our weekend in Bartlesville. Don't ask me how we spent an entire evening with Lori, Jerry and the Farmers and didn't get any pictures--perhaps they can send us some of theirs? We stopped by the Phillips museum in Bville which is a pretty impressive place. It tells the story of the people behind Phillips 66. Like I've mentioned before, it seems most people in Bartlesville have some kind of tie to that company. Anyway, we knew the museum had a section about Phillips, Texas (where Clifton's parents were both raised). Clifton's dad had been interviewed on growing up in Phillips by PhilNews, and parts of his interview are now on display in the museum, both written and audio.

nice outfit... we have one of *those* girls in our house-- and you are right, pick your battles; as long as it's (mostly) clean, and fits (mostly), take the easy road!!

yeah, and don't try to reason with them, that perhaps a winter hat might be more useful than a sun hat in 20 degree weather... and if she wants the sun hat and puts it on herself, don't suggest to her that you could help her straighten it. she likes it just where it is. she's going to be fun when she's 15. :)

it's a DVD of curious george episodes. don't be too impressed--she'd only watch for about three minutes at a time. why do we have the only kid in the world that doesn't like tv? fortunately it was enough of a distraction to buy us several three minute stretches. :)
